About Mankar College Library

The college library is situated on the 1st floor of the Annex Building, Mankar College. Books are organised according to class number with the help of Dewey Decimal Classification (23rd Edition) with extreme to the subject matter. Procured books are searchable through fully automated Koha Cloud based Integrated Library Management System. Mankar College Library provides books to the user relating to different competitive examinations for career/services, general knowledge, and Reference tools which are separately available in General stack and Reference Collection. The total working floor space is of 7200 sq. ft. and including a reading place with seating accommodation for 40 students. Netaji Research Study Centre cum Teachers’ Reading Room is also attached with Stack room. The college library circulation system has been upgraded. Student Identity card with QR code-based membership system has been introduced. Barcode of books and Barcode/QR code based of member has been initiated in library circulation service through circulation module in Koha cloud based Integrated Library Management System.

The College Library has more than 16,000 books. Every student must take good care of the books for the sake of all other students. Adequate compensation has to be made for spoiling or mutilating the library books. Mankar College Library has provided an array of information resources and services through a Library website which is completely created, organized, managed, disseminated and maintained of various electronic resources and services by the Library.
