Rural Museum
The main aim of the Mankar College Museum is collection, preservation and educational display of the social and cultural life of Bengal, especially of the Southern or Rahr Bengal. An educative display of the selective social and cultural remains of Bengali past and is aimed at preserving and providing significant information on Pre-Modern and Modern Bengal to students, teachers and researchers. Founded in 2021 the Museum was conceived as a repository of pre-modern and modern ethnographic and anthropological remains of Southern Bengal fast depleting from public memory. Though fairly new the institute aims to evolve the museum as:
- A repository of public memory
- Preservation of the ethnography and anthropological remains of Rahr Bengal
- Organize exhibitions to showcase the memory
